TESTIMONIALS

Kerry Hansen hit it out of the park with Gotcha!: How to Write Picture Books That Catch Three-Year-Old Readers and Beyond.  She’s an engaging speaker who kept our interest with multiple picture book examples to drive home the points she was making.  Her exercises were fun and the homework meant that we all had an opportunity to put what we learned into practice immediately!  I recommend her wholeheartedly and can’t wait to attend another presentation!

I received an undeserved thank you from Kris Munroe for introducing you to the SCBWI Michigan team. She said you hit it out of the park on Saturday with your Gotcha presentation. I just had a chance to watch it and I completely agree! You come across as a professional speaker. Kris also shared that the attendance was very high for the meeting. I hope you can find ways to reach more writers with that amazing, informative, and engaging information.

Kerry Hansen was hilarious but also had at least 1 PB example for every point she shared. So organized and really helpful for all genres and ages. Plus Kerry's experience as preschool teacher plus writing teacher at all levels plus kidlit writer...these all intersected to bring unique perspective and input.

Thank you for excellent examples, huge humor, and insightful info!! Cool Beans! Gonna go brainstorm some ideas...

My son enjoyed [the presentation] as well. His name is Colin (age 6). He watched instead of going to bed!

Wow, Kerry, you rocked it last night! Soooo professional. Wish I had that webinar 10 years ago. It answered so many questions, issues I've struggled with. Big thanks.

Kerry presented on writing PB for 3s and 4s. It was an amazing collection of ideas and mentor texts for writing short, funny, suspenseful, interactive, and informational PB.
